Five Kickstarter campaigns you should check out

So far, 2017 has been a great year for board games on Kickstarter. We have been keeping our eyes on a few campaigns, and have even jumped in on a couple. With that in mind, here is a list of 5 Kickstarter campaigns you should check out before they are gone. These are not in any order, nor are we being compensated to talk about these.

The Terminator: The Official Board Game – This already funded game has seven days left in their campaign. The game has miniatures based on the original movie with stretch goals that will not be available to retailers. There are multiple pledge tiers with the highest being $480. Space Goat Productions is expecting to ship this game in December 2017.

Champions of Midgard: The Expansions – Expanding on the widely popular game Champions of Midgard from Grey Fox Games comes two expansions: The Dark Mountains, and Valhalla. The expansions allow for more players and include new monsters and new allies. Multiple pledge levels with lots of stretch goals already unlocked, Champions of Midgard: The Expansions is fully funded and closes in 5 days.

The Pirate Republic – Ok, so people might be tired of pirate-themed board games but this one looks very well done. Reviews for The Pirate Republic are solid which lends some credence to it. This game is completely funded and still has 19 days to go.

Dwarves of Iron Peak – Ok, I am biased, I think Dwarves are awesome so a board game with Dwarves as the main character is an immediate win. This is a two-player game with the pretty nice looking miniatures. The tier levels are agreeable with options to buy in and receive print and play cards or 3-D printer plans for the models. This game has 10 days left and is scheduled to ship this November.

Rising Sun – Eric Lang (Blood Rage) is back with another Cool Mini Or Not produced game. The miniatures in this game look amazing with a theme that’s immersive. This game was fully funded within an hour of two of the campaign going live. The pledge level to receive the game is high at $100 but, if Blood Rage any example of how good this game is going to be, it’s worth it. There is 25 days left in this campaign so there is plenty of time to scrounge your money together.
