The power of C’Thun compels me! Well, sort of.This week in Hearthstone is once again filled with all things C’Thun. I have been bouncing back and forth between C’Thun Priest and C’Thun druid.

Overall, I still feel like it’s a race to see who can get their C’Thun out first. And, because of this, I don’t think we are able to get a good read on how good either deck is.
Side note: So I have to tell you about a play this weekend that was just fantastic. On turn ten (with my C’Thun still hiding in my deck at a robust 18/18) I found myself on the low side of life and in need of a solid play. I top-decked a Brann and subsequently played him. My following play was Twin Emperor Vek’Lor. Feeling fairly secure in my new wall I passed the turn. My opponent cast a Beckoner of Evil, and a Crazed Arrokoa on their next turn. I was then able to cast a Hooded Acolyte followed by a Twilight Darkmender. With Brann in play, it healed me for 20 life!
I don’t remember what my opponent did but I do know I cleared his board before drawing a playing C’Thun. The mighty old god was sitting at 21/21. Once again Brann was a super star.. My friends (they were spectating) and I got a good laugh at it.
At the beginning of last week, it felt I was facing mage decks galore. The inevitable play was to get a Flamewaker out and then hide him behind Mirror Image. It never seemed to fail, when this happened, I could never keep a minion on the board log enough to do anything. Flamewaker is my new least favorite card.
As for decks giving me the most trouble, aside from racing to get C’Thun in to play, was either Hunter Aggro decks or Shaman decks. Both decks play out so fast I rarely have time to do anything to respond. I have to think Shaman is the top-level deck right now. Man, that deck is fast and well built.
As for the quest for gold Paladin.. yeah. For now, that is on hold. Paladin doesn’t seem to be very well poised right now. I suspect I could go play wyld but frankly, I am not interested in visiting Dr. Boom or Sludgebelcher anytime soon
I am curious what some of my readers are playing. If you don’t mind, drop a comment below and let us know.
