Tomorrow is the day! We get a new set and new formats. I am very happy about this.
Quick update, wins for the week are at 253. It has not been a very good week. I was out of town, and off the computer from Thursday until this morning. Somehow I doubt the wins would have been much better, though.
My struggles this week seem to be with Warrior decks. These decks that are focused on gaining armor with Shield Maiden, Armorsmith, and everything else is so frustrating. You typically end up having to do 40-45 points of damage to win. That’s of course, provided they don’t drop a Justicar Trueheart on you. What a beast of a card.
Just remember to use your hero power before playing her!
Looking ahead to Whispers, I am pretty sure I will be putting C’Thun for my 10-drop spot. That card looks beastly and I want to use it.
I also want to find a way to use the new Ragnaros. Pretty sure he can go in the secret Paladin deck. Maybe. There is going to be so much playing around tomorrow.
Other cards I am interested in include Steward of Darkshire (perhaps a replacement for Knife Juggle at the 3-drop?) Twilight of Geomancer for when you’re are playing with C’Thun. I think Selfless Hero might be great as a second turn play in conjunction with Secret Keeper. It doesn’t hurt to give the Secret Keeper divine shield, that’s for sure.
Forbidden Healing looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, too. I have been thinking I should include a late-game healing spell to the deck and it could be exactly what I am looking for.
Come format changes I need to figure out what to play in standard. I am not too thrilled about Wyld as I don’t want to deal with a lot of the same decks (you know, the ones that have Dr. Boom as a seven-drop).
I am getting frustrated with Secret Paladin but have finally pushed past the half way mark on my path to gold. Still, something different might be in order just to take a break.
What about the rest of you? What will you be playing?
